LSC Club Meeting

Our next Lone Star Cyclists Club meeting is on Monday, April 21st at 7:30 PM at the Bob Duncan Center in Vandergriff Park, 2800 S. Center Street, Arlington.

This will be a Tour d’Italia planning meeting also!!

The LSC Board will meet at 6:00 PM prior to the Club meeting. All are welcome to join us and participate in discussions. Voting is reserved for board members.

We hope to see everyone there. Food, fun and fellowship with your cycling friends!!

Refreshments, sodas, and bottled water will be served.

Maypearl to Ennis Bike Overnight Bluebonnet Tour

Ever wanted to get on your bike some Saturday and just keep going? Then join us for a Bike Overnight on April 26 and 27 (Saturday and Sunday). We'll ride 60 miles from Maypearl to Ennis and stay overnight in a hotel. Soft beds, hot showers, room service... well, room service is just a dream, but you get the picture! There are several restaurants to choose from in Ennis, all anxiously awaiting some hungry cyclists. After a great night's sleep, we'll have a leisurely breakfast and then ride 40 miles back to Maypearl.

Cedar Hill Rotary Bike Rally Riders enjoy the opportunity to choose from a family friendly 20, 40 or 60-mile route, or challenge yourself with our new 100 mile trek to Italy, Texas. Frequent, well stocked rest stops are available at key locations. Check out our day-before activities!

Our bike rally riders and sponsors are pleased to know that net proceeds go to support worthy causes, both local and international.

Club Dues Are Now Payable

If you have not already done so, now is the time to pay your 2013-2014 club dues. Our annual club dues are payable the first of September. However, it appears that many of our valuable club members have either forgotten to pay or overlooked this deadline. The dues we pay keep our club operational. You can pay by check or use either Pay Pal or a credit/debit card online. Just click on the MEMBERSHIP tab above and follow the directions.

CareFlite Now Offering Major Discount for Cyclists

We are happy to announce that we have received a group offer from CareFlite. CareFlite has emergency helicopter transportation as well as ground transportation. They are a non profit organization that works in cooperation with Baylor Healthcare Systems, JPS Health Network, Methodist Health Systems, Parkland, and Texas Health Resources. Their emergency transportation insurance is regularly $49 per year, but we are being offered this same coverage for only $12 per year.
